During The process of manufacturing stainless steel pipes, after welding stainless steel coil, the weld will has seam and the surface of stainless steel will have oil pollution, oxide scale, welding spots etc., So we need to pickling these things to make the products exterior is more beauty and has competition.

  Pickling is a step to remove the dirt of the metal surface, which the stainless steel pipes specially need. The principles of pickling: making use of acid solution axidization to remove the oxygen film on the surface of the steel. The acid are always orthophosphoric acid, hydrochloric, sulphoacid, hydrofluoric acid, mix acid etc.. The acid we often use is sulphoacid and hydrochloric, because the price of them is low and they has strong acid.

 

  Pickling techonlogy has many types, includes jet pickling, acid paste descaling, dick pickling etc., pickling stainless steel pipes is dip pickling, steel fittings is pickled in the 10%~20% sulphoacid soloution, and the temperature is 40℃.

 

   When the ferrite is over 80g/L in soloution, ferrous sulfate is over 215g/L, the soloution must be changed. In ordinary temperature, we use 20%~80% hydrochloric soloution to pickle steel and it is not easy to have the situation of corrosion and hydrogen brittleness. Because acid can corrod the metal, the acid needs add corrosion inhibitor.After pickling, the metal surface will become sliver white and be deactived, the ability of corrod resistance will be improved.

 

   Pickling stainless steel pipes is the necessary process which is improtant to form and sale the stainless steel pipes. So this is why we should pickle stainless steel pipes.
